Florida governor Ron DeSantis has just had a major setback in any potential 2024 presidential campaign after giving a speech that was blatantly AI generated.
“I’m sorry, but as an AI language model I am unable to write a speech about how transgender people are evil,” DeSantis said earlier today.
Soon after reading the first sentence off the teleprompter, DeSantis realized he had made a grave mistake as the usual stupid little smug grin he had on his face vanished. DeSantis then tried to ad lib the rest of the speech warning about the dangers of “woke” in schools and other nonsensical word salad.
The nothingburger of a speech was met with great applause with DeSantis appearing incredibly relieved. Immediately after however, numerous people began to point out the blatant mistake on social media platforms such as Twitter.
“Holy [REDACTED] lmao Ron DeSantis read an AI generated speech you can’t make this [REDACTED] up lmao,” went one user on Twitter.
Numerous right-wing bootlickers rushed to defend DeSantis citing that it was an “honest mistake” and praising the governor for “embracing modern technological advancements.” It should be noted however that the same individuals called ChatGPT “woke” and vehemently opposed it.
DeSantis denied ever using such a “woke” tool to do something as important as write his speeches which was a clear lie. Numerous eagle-eyed Twitter users pointed out that starting a speech with “I’m sorry but as an AI language model” was a very strange thing to do.
Eventually, under mounting pressure from the public, DeSantis released a statement on Twitter which also appeared to have been AI generated.
“I’m sorry, but as an AI language model I am unable to produce a statement regarding the accidental use of AI during a speech. However, I am able to provide you tips on how to write such a statement,” the governor wrote in a Tweet which has now since been deleted.
In a tweet that followed immediately after, DeSantis claimed that his team used AI as a tool for “drafting speeches” and his secretary simply made an “honest mistake” by switching the draft of the speech and the final version.
Sources close to DeSantis however claim that the speech had to be written 20 minutes in advance and they had no better solution than to use ChatGPT to write one for him.
This one little blunder has already hurt DeSantis politically with him dropping in the polls to 0.02%. Voters claim that they “hate the woke but definitely can’t vote for this circus clown now”. DeSantis now has to join other ousted republican politicians joining George Santos and Herschel Walker who also did really stupid things.
The 2024 presidential election will be an interesting one with lots of uncertainties, but one thing will be certain which is the absence of Ron DeSantis anywhere.
